Electronic Reserves
Instructors may also place items on Electronic Reserves by sending an email including the attached item that is to be placed on reserve to Jill DeFore. Items that may be placed on Electronic Reserves are links to Internet sites, scanned copies of articles from periodicals, class notes, syllabi, PowerPoint files, and Word documents. You may also send a link to an article from a library online database for placement on eReserves (useful if you are not utilizing Blackboard in your course as supplementation). Electronic Reserves can (and usually should) be restricted to students enrolled in a particular course.
Please note that the individual instructor is responsible for complying with copyright and fair use laws, including recent court rulings. When in doubt, it is a good idea to contact the author and/or publisher to request permission to use the material for class purposes.
