Is it okay to bring my children to the library?
Yes, children are permitted in the library. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all time and should not be a disturbance to other library patrons.
Can you help me fill out FAFSA?
Students are always welcome to do their student loan applications, etc. on the library computers. However, we are not able to assist with filling out the forms since we are not trained or qualified to do so. For help with specific questions on the FAFSA, please call or visit Financial Aid.
Does the library have any material to help me prepare for the ACT,GED,SAT, NET, etc?
The library does carry some test preparation materials for ACT, GED, HESI, SAT, THEA and TASP. The library has 2 online resource for test preparation material called Mometrix and Learning Express Library. As for other test materials not listed above, please check with the Test Center.
How can I access the library's databases from home?
All databases are accessible off campus through the library webpage. You can email the librarian Sonia Gonzales for the password or drop by the library and ask someone at the circulation desk.

What is my login for the computer/WebAdvisor/Blackboard?
•Username: First letter of your first name, plus your full last name, plus the first four digits of your HC student ID. Example: mjones1234
•Your password is the same as the WebAdvisor/Blackboard password. (If you have never created your password, use capital H, plus small case c, plus your nine-digit HC student ID. Example: Hc123456789.) If you cannot remember your password, please follow the instructions under MyHC on the SWCD webpage.
