Every Tuesday, starting September 29 through October 27, the HC Library - Big Spring, will host a Polititaco Tuesday event. The events will go from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, each night with a different election-related theme. Vouchers will be provided for non- HC and SWCD students to get a taco meal at the HC Cafeteria. Also, every time you sign in at an event, your name will be added to a raffle to win one of three prizes! Winners will be announced after October 27.
These events were made possible by grants from Spread the Vote and Ask Every Student. Thank you to Sandra Verdin at Howard County Public Library and Irene Richardson from the Big Spring High School library for spreading the word, and a big "Thank you!" to the Howard County Democrats and the Howard County Republicans for working with us (and working together) to help inform students and the community about who and what's on the ballot. Finally, planning and pulling off these events wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of the Anthony Hunt Library staff, student workers, and volunteers.
