San Angelo Library Faculty Services

Do you need a book, DVD, or article that Howard College San Angelo Library doesn't have?  Remember to also check the Anthony Hunt Library online catalog, at the Big Spring site, to see if they have the material you are looking for.

All Howard College students, faculty, and staff also have access to Angelo State University Library and Tom Green County Public Libraries.  Stop by Howard College Library and see about obtaining a TexShare card.

Requesting resources from other libraries is called a Interlibrary Loan.  You may request a book, DVD, or article by filling out the Loan Request Form for a book/DVD or article.  Please provide as much information as you can about the item you wish to request like author, title, ISBN, etc,.

It usually takes between 2 - 4 weeks for items to arrive at the library.  Once the requested item arrives, library staff will process it and contact you to pick it up. We ask you to pick it up as soon as possible because check out periods vary depending on the loaning library's policy.

Please make sure to return the item back to us on time so late fees or penalties don't apply to your account. If you wish to keep the item longer contact the library staff to request a renewal.

What Is the TexShare Program

What is the TexShare Program?

"A TexShare Card provides you with borrow privileges from almost 500 participating libraries across the State. If you’re a registered patron of a participating library, you may request a TexShare Card from your home library. You must be a patron in good standing and have demonstrated compliance with your library’s existing borrowing policies.

Please check library websites or contact the library by telephone or email prior to visiting in person in order to determine eligibility." (Texas State Library)
